Our Story

The company milling facility is located along Pipeline - Elementaita road, Nakuru County. Chamwa Quality Millers Ltd sources its raw materials from small-scale farmers and traders within the county. Small-scale farmers supply maize during the harvest season while traders supply maize during the off-season. The company can import maize in case of shortage in the local market.

The milling company has installed a semi-automatic milling machine with a capacity of producing 20 tonnes of flour per day. The production line processes efficiently from the raw materials, by sifting, removal of micro impurities, trapping metallic elements by use of magnets, moisture adjustment, peeling, corn germ removal, milling, and packaging. The production line is also equipped with a doser, which fortifies the final maize flour.

With a storage capacity of 3000 of 90 kg bags of maize, Chamwa Quality Millers operate with emphasis on availability of maize and delivering high-quality maize flour. The company is committed to enhancing the community through long-term economic growth and development.

Chamwa Quality Millers prioritizes high-quality flour and maximum customer satisfaction. Our maize flour meets regulatory standards and consumer satisfaction. The company is registered under the Companies Act and the relevant food authority bodies. It is also certified by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS).

We ensure maize moisture content remains between 13%–13.5% to prevent aflatoxin contamination. Regular laboratory testing for aflatoxin is conducted inhouse ,before and after milling, to ensure proper fortification with essential micronutrients such as Iron and Zinc. Monthly testing is also conducted at JKUAT laboratories to ensure food safety and compliance.

We focus on affordability and accessibility, targeting small-scale retailers, households and populated urban areas, with flexible packaging options.
